The Ummah Grant is an honorable way to aid low-income students

Granada Islamic School serves 490 full-time students. Tuition costs approximately $9000 per year per student. 53 students or 12% of students are unable to afford tuition in full. Being a community-based institution, we will not reject or deny a student of an Islamic education due to lack of funds.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things:

1) Sadaqah Jariyah (a continuous charity)

2) Knowledge from which benefit is gained

3) Righteous child who prays for him

The Ummah Grant checks all 3 of those boxes.

Allah (SWT) says in Surat Al-baqarah aya number 245

"Who will lend to Allah a good loan which Allah will multiply many times over? It is Allah ˹alone˺ who decreases and increases ˹wealth˺. And to Him you will ˹all˺ be returned."

We pray that you consider enabling a Muslim student continue persuing an Islamic education. May Allah bless you this Ramadan and beyond. Ameen.
